In early 2022 I was home on a Sunday afternoon browsing You Tube when I
came across the Ottawa Trucker Protest. A number of people were live
streaming it. One of them happened to be a young lady named Charlotte. She,
along with her boyfriend, would go through the streets and interview the
truckers, or anyone for that matter. They even arrested her boyfriend.
Anyway, I was extremely fascinated by it. Plus, I have to admit I had a bit of a
crush on her.
From a musical standpoint, I guess we hear some kind of cross section
between Brian Wilson, early Faces, and Fleetwood Mac?
From a lyrical standpoint, apart from being turned on by the young lady, I was
fascinated by the “Citizen Journalist” as it were. I wanted to champion that
effort and to get across the point that there was hope amidst the isolation
brought about by the pandemic.
